Face it friend: God is crazy about you!

After having a chat with one of my non-swedish speaking friends I decided to compose a blog-post in English. The things that has been in my mind the last days touches something of the most essential things in Christianity. It's about the differences between only being a Christian and to really really know God, the maker of heaven and earth. Looking on the outward appearance this difference moslty seem very insignificant. But when you really get down to it this it makes a whole earth in difference!

 

Jesus himself revealed something of the Fathers heart when he quoted Isaiah by saying "These people honor me with their lips, but their hearts are far from me. They worship me in vain; their teachings are but rules taught by men.". God is not like men. He is not wanting all the nice words and right answers. What He really longs for is our heart, and the whole of it!

 

What God seeks for is a heart that is totally surrendered and devoted to him. The most precious thing for the Father is when His children are seeking His face wanting to hear His heartbeats. Nothing we ever could do in the Kingdom of God is more valuable for him than this: just to be in His prescense. I myself need to learn the fact that before I ever do anything for God I'm in a desperate need of beeing with Him. 

 

Only when we put these things into the right order we can experience the real joy in serving the Lord. When we really know Who we serve and what His toughts and plans are we can confidenly and boldly exeed in doing the good things that are prepared fo us. And only then we can be that blessing we are meant to be into other peoples lifes.
